I am so impressed by how smart my kiddos are, they amaze me everyday! So, I was modeling a few problems on the board and without thinking I wrote the addition sentence vertically. I was shoked that my kids stared at me with a blank look on thier face. Then I realized a lot of the problems in our math series have been horizontal addition sentences. That's when I knew we needed practice doing addition problems in a different way. So I made this mini book for them to practice veritcal equations. They will read the addition problems and draw the dots on each wing of the ladybug, then they will add to find the answer. I hope this helps!
