So Excited!!

I am so exctied about blogging! My teaching partner , the wonderful Diana Cole @ Cole's Little Pups posted about my new blog and in a matter of minutes I have 9 followers and several comments!! Thank you so much to everyone that has taken the time to visit my blog and download my freebie. I am beginning to see how blogging can become VERY addicting! How do you manage it all?? I just hope I can keep it up once craziness school starts!

I have also gotten into the creative mood lately Thanks to Pinterest. So I went to Hobby Lobby today to get my creative side moving! Here is what I got to get started with

I am also redoing a mailbox for my classroom that I adopted from another teacher. I will post before and after pics once I am finished.

Another thing I am working on or my little sister is working on is painting the 7 habits onto canvas for my classroom. She is so talented and offered to do them for me! So I wasnt going to pass that up. She already made one with the teachers prayer on it. I love it!!

Is anyone else teaching the 7 habits and the Leader in Me at their school this year? I am very excited about them, and I think it is going to make a HUGE difference in our students this year! I know it has made a change in myself by living the 7 habits. You can check out our adventure here at our school blog.

Finally getting started and a freebie!!

I have been working on this blog for about a year now! I can never dedicate myself the time to just do it. My goal this summer was to work on my blog and open a teacher pay teacher store. The funny thing is I create things ALL the time for my classroom, but never got around to posting it online. So, I am finally taking the time to go through all my files and post all of the things I have made over the past two years! So please follow my blog and look for all the updates and freebies!!

I would also love it if you can follow my new teacher pay teacher store here. I have posted my first item and of course it is free! So check it out and let me know what you think.

If any blogger veterns have any tips for a newbie, I would love all the help I can get!!!

Ladybug Addition

We have been learning about addition in math the past couple of weeks. I am so impressed by how smart my kiddos are, they amaze me everyday! So, I was modeling a few problems on the board and without thinking I wrote the addition sentence vertically. I was shoked that my kids stared at me with a blank look on thier face. Then I realized a lot of the problems in our math series have been horizontal addition sentences. That's when I knew we needed practice doing addition problems in a different way. So I made this mini book for them to practice veritcal equations. They will read the addition problems and draw the dots on each wing of the ladybug, then they will add to find the answer. I hope this helps!  Click here. Ladybug Addition
I hope this works, it is the first time trying to post a document. Please let me know if it worked :)

Hello blogging world! I am "kinda" new to this great invention. Well I have to admit, I was quite the blog stalker last year. It was my first year teaching and I found so many GREAT activities that helped make my first year a success! Now that I have a year under my belt I want to join the blogging world by helping and sharing some of the things I have learned:)One of my team teacher's is starting a blog this year as well, so be sure to check out her site. She has a lot of great things posted about how we get our year started! You can find her here... Mrs. Cole's Little Pups. Thank you to those that stop by to visit my blog. I can't wait to start adding some of the fun things we will be doing this year!
